Formål / Sammendrag:

The overall topic of the PhD work is climate change impacts on the water cycle. More specifically to downscale global climate projections to a local scale and assess how these projections affect urban hydrology and water resources.

Climate projections from Global Climate Models (GCMs) are the primary source to knowledge on the future climate, but both the models themselves, and the modelling chain required in impact assessments, entail large uncertainties.

The research aims to understand how this uncertainty should be accounted for in actual decision- and policy-making and how the climate information can be of practical use to water managers.

The work is carried out under the Horizon 2020 project BINGO: Bringing INnovation to onGOing water management – a better future under climate change.
