Formål / Sammendrag:

The research is on topic «Improvement of sludge dewatering and reject water handling». The sludge is produced after anaerobic digestion of sewage sludge with consistent biogas production.

The first part of research consists of reject water treatment after sludge dewatering and its improvement. Reject water containing hard-degradable compounds is the common problem on wastewater treatment plants due to its returning to the water treatment cycle and causing significant problems.

The objective of the second part is to find out optimal conditions and polymers doses for sludge dewatering. Since costs on sludge transportation after dewatering depend on sludge volume, it is important to get completely dry solid.
